Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like getting started?

Our first session will be a diagnostic assessment, where I’ll learn more about you and we’ll decide on your therapy goals. We’ll tailor your treatment plan to your objectives; after all, you’re the expert on you!

How long is a session?

Sessions are typically 50-55 minutes long. Typically, when starting out, we’ll start at once a week or every other week.

What insurances do you accept?

Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Buckeye, Cigna, FrontPath, Ohio Medicaid Medical Mutual, Molina, Paramount, United Healthcare/UMR/UBH.

For those without insurance, I offer a self-pay rate of $120 per session.

What types of therapy do you use?

I genuinely believe that therapy should be a personal journey, tailored to fit each person's unique needs and experiences. It's all about meeting you where you are and working together to find the best path forward. You deserve a supportive space that resonates with who you are, allowing for growth and healing in a way that feels right for you. Every step we take should honor your individuality, ensuring that treatment feels like a partnership rather than a set of strict guidelines. My approach is tailored to each client and incorporates a variety of effective methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindful Self-Compassion. Additionally, I have completed Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman training, applying these valuable skills to help clients strengthen their relationships.

What if I’m nervous to get started?

That’s absolutely natural! Most people are at least a little nervous to meet a new therapist. It’s scary to meet someone new and talk about tough stuff! We can absolutely take things at your pace, and it’s normal to be nervous about trying something new.
